Use the official COME download page rather than a forwarded file, shortened link, Telegram post, or APK mirror. Confirm that the page is using HTTPS, that the download button points to the current installer, and that the file size and version information are visible. A large change in size, an unfamiliar app name, or a request for contacts and SMS access is a reason to pause.

The word APK only describes the Android package format. It does not prove that an installer is genuine. Treat the source, publisher identity, permissions, and post-install behaviour as separate checks.

A version number alone does not prove that an APK is current. Start on the known COME download page and compare the version, update date, Android requirement, and file size shown there. Download only after those details are consistent. If a search result, Telegram post, or APK mirror shows a different version, do not install both files to compare them; return to the identified source and treat the other copy as unverified.

Before updating, open Android Settings, find the installed COME App, and note the current version. This gives you a simple before-and-after check. Keep your registered mobile number available because an update or device security check may require you to sign in again.

If the app displays an update prompt, follow it only when it opens the same trusted download route. Otherwise, download the newer APK from the known page, wait for the file to finish, and open it from Downloads. Android normally offers an update or replacement prompt when the package matches the existing installation. Choose install, wait for completion, then open the app and check that your account and wallet screens load normally.

Do not uninstall the existing app first unless the support flow specifically tells you to. Removing it can delete local data, reset device permissions, and make account recovery harder. An in-place update is the safer default when Android recognises the package.

If Android says the app was not installed, the most common causes are an incomplete download, insufficient storage, an incompatible Android version, or a package signed differently from the installed copy. Delete the failed duplicate, free storage, download a fresh file from the same trusted page, and check the Android requirement. If the existing app was installed from a different source, do not force an overwrite; use the known support route before removing anything.

If the package cannot be parsed, the file is usually incomplete or not compatible with the phone. If the download button does nothing, check browser permissions, network stability, and the Downloads folder rather than searching for a random replacement. Never disable every security warning to make an APK install.

An old installer is not a reliable fallback just because it worked before. Older builds may stop connecting, lack current security fixes, or show outdated wallet and contest information. Keep the installed app only if it is working and update it through the known source. Do not keep several renamed copies such as 'latest', 'mod', or 'no verification' on the phone; they make it harder to identify which package you are actually using.

If you need to remove an old copy, first confirm that you can receive OTPs and that no account or payment action is pending. After uninstalling, delete the old APK from Downloads and install one identified version only.

A reliable installation is more than pressing a button. Record the version you installed, keep the source page bookmarked, and update only from a source you can identify. Never install a so-called mod, predictor, unlimited balance build, or cracked version: those promises are common ways to distribute malware or collect credentials.
